At the heart of this day of reflection and gratitude is remembrance. It’s also become a time when families and friends gather to share in the unofficial start of summer.

How to Clean Your Decorative Concrete Surface

Sweep the surface, removing any loose dirt, leaves, and debris.
Rinse with water. You can use a hose with a high-pressure nozzle or a power washer at a medium setting.
Scrub the surface using a brush with stiff bristles. For stubborn spots, you can use a non-abrasive cleaner that’s formulated for your surface. (Do not use ammonia or bleach, as those materials will slowly eat away at your finish.)
Rinse the surface again with water to wash away any cleaner, dirt, and other debris.

If you have a few days before guests are set to arrive, you might consider resealing your surface if it’s due for a new coat. If you’re not sure, try this test: pour a small amount of water on a clean, dry surface. If the water soaks in within a few minutes, the surface is probably ready to be sealed. If the water beads up or sits on top, there’s likely still sealer present.
