The price of concrete resurfacing typically ranges from about $4.50 per square foot to $25 per square foot. However, the cost of your project will depend on a variety of factors.
For our customers, cost is one of the most important aspects of a concrete resurfacing project. At SUNDEK, we work with you to make sure you get the result you want within your allotted budget—without adding surprise costs along the way.
The answer to that question isn’t the same for every client, as the average cost of a finished project depends on a variety of factors—not just the concrete overlay cost. Here are some of the things that will affect your project cost:
Because of all these variables, the best way to get an accurate estimate is to contact your local SUNDEK dealer so we can visit your property to analyze the surface and discuss your desired design.
Below are some of our most popular applications. Keep in mind, the best way to get an accurate quote is to contact your local SUNDEK contractor because factors such as location, design, and surface conditions will affect your total cost.
The Original Spray Texture, also known as Classic Texture, creates a comfortable, slip-resistant surface. It’s cooler than typical gray concrete, brick, or tile. This is SUNDEK’s most popular product, most commonly used on pool decks.
SUNDEK contractors apply this custom overlay (also called Tuscan) by hand. The texture is thinner than typical stamped overlays, which means we can combine it with other SUNDEK systems, allowing us to creating a custom look.
This versatile stamped concrete overlay, also known as SunStamp, allows for unlimited design possibilities. We have a variety of pre-fabricated stamps and templates to choose from, but we can also create custom stamps and do freeform carving.
This limestone coating (known as SunStone) gives SUNDEK contractors the ability to create the look of quarried stone with a unique and natural appearance at a fraction of the cost.
*SUNDEK contractors have a minimum price for projects that ranges from $850 to $3500. Contact your local SUNDEK dealer for more information.
In about 90% of cases, as long as you have a viable substrate, it’s more cost-effective to resurface your concrete rather than tear it out and start from scratch. When a SUNDEK contractor evaluates your concrete, they will advise you on the best option for your particular project.
Our contractors will not apply a coating to a surface that’s failing, as it is in everyone’s best interest to have it removed.
When a SUNDEK representative comes to evaluate your concrete, they may suggest our Custom Scoreline Effect if your surface is cracked. This is a great option for customers who don’t want to worry about future cracks, as this technique helps control where the cracks go, making it more cost-effective in the long run. When looking at concrete coating costs, consider the long-term benefits. Investing in a durable, beautiful low-maintenance surface will increase the value of your property. If you’re having work done on your residential property, you’ll have your new surface to enjoy for many years to come. If you’re having work done on your commercial property, the new surface will enhance the aesthetics of your space for employees and/or customers. You’ll also have the opportunity to make customizations that make your surface less slippery and easier to clean—invaluable qualities in spaces with lots of foot traffic.
The best way to get an accurate estimate is to contact a contractor who can do the work. The contractor will be able to assess your site and discuss design requests with you. SUNDEK provides free estimates. Contact your local SUNDEK contractor to get an estimate for your project.
