A Popular Aquarium’s Vibrant and Safe Space for Play

At the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, Texas, owners began planning for a new and improved splash pad. In addition to wanting the new space to be larger than the previous splash pad, they also wanted a vibrant design that would last a long time. With Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds, SUNDEK came up with a plan for the surface that would meet all these needs. A New Community Hangout Spot Gets a Durable, Stylish Surface

Builders of Sunfield, a new community in Buda, Texas, were looking for the perfect surface coating for their amenity center. As the focal point of the community, the amenity center would feature a lazy river, pools, and other outdoor gathering spaces. Beacon Construction, Inc., the general contractor for the project, had worked with SUNDEK of Austin previously and knew they could trust them to deliver a high-quality, long-lasting decorative surface that would be perfect for the space. Prestigious Country Club Pool Receives a Refresh

To celebrate their 100-year anniversary, Manor Country Club in Rockville, Maryland, planned to give their private club a total makeover. A member of the club referred the facilities manager to SUNDEK of Washington so they could come take a look. Initially, the club wanted about 8,000 square feet of concrete for walkways and other paved surfaces around the club. However, once SUNDEK of Washington began their work, the club was so impressed that the club asked them to provide a quote and samples of Classic Texture for 15,000 square feet of concrete in their pool area. Downtown City Sidewalks Are Repaired and Revitalized

When the City of San Antonio embarked on a 6-year capital improvement program, they set out to make major improvements throughout the city. One of the many projects on their list was to improve sidewalks along Commerce Street (North Main and Soledad), which is essentially the main vein that runs through the city. The city contacted SUNDEK of San Antonio to see how they could help. SUNDEK came through, devising a plan for a custom, three-color aggregate effect on Classic Texture to meet the city’s needs. Neglected Pool Deck Transformed into a Backyard Retreat

A new homeowner in Nashville was thrilled about his new home’s pool and spacious patio area, perfect for guests to relax and hang out. However, the concrete in these outdoor spaces needed some serious work. After years of neglect, the surfaces were cracked and faded. Knowing he wanted to renovate, he reached out for SUNDEK of Nashville for options. For the pool area, SUNDEK suggested Classic Texture with Aggregate Effects to create a stylish look that also camouflages dirt, dust, and other debris between cleanings. Artistic Vision Comes to Life

For Longwing Landing, a community pool area at Bridgeland in Cypress, Texas, the project team had an ambitious project in mind—a pool in the shape of a butterfly. The designers reached out with SUNDEK of Houston with a question: Could they install a coating that would not only complement the butterfly shape but also make it look like the deck was an extension of the wings? Of course SUNDEK was up for the task, completing it using Classic Texture in three colors. See how they made it happen.

Historic Mansion’s Surfaces Resurfaced with Elegant Design

After taking ownership of the historic Ashcombe Mansion in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Deborah Myers Welsh set out to restore the home while also transforming it into a gorgeous venue for weddings and other large events. One area on her list was an additional ballroom that would eventually be used as a reception area. Though she wanted it to be beautiful and to match the mansion’s interior checkered floor, she also needed it to be durable enough to withstand foot traffic from thousands of guests a year.
