Commitment to excellence and industry leadership have long defined SUNDEK’s approach to decorative concrete. That dedication is reflected in the company’s impressive record of recognition: Since 2009, SUNDEK has earned 55 awards, including two WOW awards, from the Decorative Concrete Council (DCC), a testament to the creativity, skill, and innovation of its teams nationwide.
The DCC awards themselves were originally inspired by the SUNDEK Awards—an internal recognition program developed under the leadership of the late Joe Primavera, SUNDEK’s former Vice President of Marketing. Joe played a key role in introducing and shaping the DCC Awards program. His vision helped establish a platform to recognize and celebrate excellence in decorative concrete craftsmanship—showcasing the best projects and professionals from around the world.
Additionally, Joe played a pivotal role as part of the founding council that established the DCC Community Outreach Projects, thereby further expanding the Council’s impact and connection within the industry. Today, these honors highlight not just the beauty and craftsmanship of SUNDEK projects, but also the company’s role in shaping industry standards.
Over the years, SUNDEK’s award-winning work has spanned both commercial and residential categories, showcasing the company’s versatility. From sleek pool decks at private homes to large-scale public spaces designed for community use, a wide variety of SUNDEK’s projects have been recognized by DCC. This breadth of recognition underscores SUNDEK’s ability to adapt its expertise to different environments and client goals, delivering decorative concrete solutions that are not only functional and durable but also customized to meet diverse needs.
